Somewhere between raw white chocolate, bounty bars, rocky road, tablet, and a piece of heaven is this little beauty I whipped up – perfect for Easter gifts or spoiling a special mother this mothers day.. or just for yourself (cos you are so damn worth it). I often get asked how many days a week I practice ‘yoga’. I find this an odd question to respond to, and often my answer shocks most people, because a lot of the time my ‘practice’ isn’t solely mat based. Some weeks I practice physically 6 days, some 7, some 2 or 3. BUT Yoga is not just about the physical. It is not about how many chaturangas you can do, how long you can be upside down, how toned your biceps are, or how flexible your hips are. This is simply one limb of yoga, the asana side, you could skip this entirely and still be practicing ‘yoga’. The mental Continue reading “MY 21 MOST INSPIRING & FAVOURITE QUOTES ABOUT YOGA & LIFE” »
The Salt n’ Vinegar flavour combo takes me back to my childhood. Endless packets of chips (well ‘crisps’ if you’re over here in the UK too) and salt n’ vinegar nuts that have the sweet, sour, salty combo paired with crunch – fortunately I’ve mastered this combo along with making this snack healthy and high in fibre and protein. This healthy alternative to salt n vinegar peanuts (and chip cravings) comes without the nasty oils, the processed salt, the sugar, and the vinegar flavourings which contain too many numbers and chemical. When you eat well, you feel well – everything you put in to your body acts as your fuel and your building blocks, so why not Continue reading “SALT N’ VINEGAR CHICKPEA NUTS” »
2017. What a beautiful year you are proving to be. I’ve just spent the last month and a bit fueling myself up for this year by surrounding myself with my loved ones back home in Australia (& getting a hefty dose of solid Vitamin D before returning to the other side of the world!). I was desperate this morning for dessert for breakfast, but minus a sugar high. So I whipped up this delicious Pear Chia Parfait with Cacao Mousse. Its really easy, filling, and took less than 15 minutes from starting to layering and digging a spoon in – and the avocado chocolate mousse is perfect on its own too if you want to make that as a separate recipe just double the ingredients. This is one to definitely curb sugar cravings with the healthy fats, natural sweetness, and Continue reading “PEAR CHIA PARFAIT with CACAO MOUSSE- clean, vegan, paleo” »
This tart is perfect. Tangy, sweet, tasty, and full of nutritional goodness. It’s a different take on the most recent recipe I posted, the apricot tart, and it is just as good. Plus, it’s got the psyllium husk as the super ingredient that binds the topping together (literally fruit, water, psyllium) and helps your digestive system.
This recipe is so simple, tasty, and healthy. It works for almost any fruit as a topping (in fact mixing and matching also goes well and you can create layers – there’s a blackberry pie recipe at the bottom, or try a combo of apricot and dates topped with a layer of cacao and coconut for a healthy chocolate caramel slice). It is cheap, QUICK, raw, vegan, refined sugar free, paleo friendly, gluten free, nut free, it tastes amazing…Plus it’s good for your digestive system thanks to the special key ingredient.
Having been away the last three weeks, in between moving countries, the one thing I missed most (apart from the dog and my love of course…) is my own cooking. We moved to Ireland on the weekend and so far the weather has been wonderful… until today where the wind and rain have taken center stage. So a heart warming bowl of homemade curry was just what was needed. However, with a lack of any curry power in the house I had to improvise with whatever was on hand, and it came out like a sweet and perfect curry with all the right flavour tones.
These crackers are amazing. That’s really all that needs to be said. Whether you have them with dips, to take as a snack wherever you go (I ate them for lunch with a mashed avocado and topped with tomato) or use this recipe to make a flaxseed pizza base (yesterday I shaped it in to a pizza base and topped it with some tomato puree, mushrooms, onion, and spinach, and it was the best pizza I have ever had *note: this recipe amount will make 2 pizza bases) – you need this recipe in your life. Right now. Continue reading “SIMPLE 4 INGREDIENT SPICY SALT & VINEGAR FLAXSEED CRACKERS – vegan, paleo, clean eating” »
