For most of you who attend yoga classes you’ll have noticed people wearing necklaces/malas made of beads and have perhaps wondered what these are. So I’m clearing this up for you today! Malas have been used for centuries in Buddhist and Hindu cultures, and are not just pieces of jewellery, but are spiritual objects used for meditation, mantra practice, healing, peace, enlightenment and protection. Sometimes allowing a little time out for yourself to do what you love without any expectations, guilt, or pressures is exactly what you need in order to return to your “normal” life fully recharged. For me that was getting to visit my family and friends back in Oz. Because of this time to connect with others and the demands of everyday life, I am so fired up and buzzing with excitement  for the rest of this year ahead.

I love gettin’ a little bit silly and feeling carefree. Dancing about the house is one of those things that tops the list for making me feel this way. Whilst I think dancing is one of my top skills, some would say I’m not very good.
